Welcome to the Mathew foundation
This is our first post, and our first time building a non-profit. Though we have experience in healthcare and education professionally, trying to build this out is brand new.
As we are still researching the right way to implement these type of programs, we are starting by working through other organizations:
Our first efforts were to support the efforts of those in place – towards that end, we’ve mobilized funds to help educate children in Haiti through Lumen Vitae (https://lumenvitae.us/), a non-profit dedicated to empowering children through education.
We created a scholarship in Michigan through bold.org (https://bold.org/scholarships/thomas-and-may-mathew-educational-scholarship/?_hsmi=184042392) to inspire others to continue the work of our founders
We are researching clinics in India to try to build financial and operational support for them. We’re also reaching out to resources Europe to understand Digital Health Solutions and how they may offer cost-effective solutions for different users.
As we discover more, we will share that through our blog – and hopefully inspire others to support or join us in our mission.
